Updated Cybersecurity Guide for corporate boards

The Board Leadership Society has just completed work on its annual update of the ‘Cybersecurity for the Board’ guide, due to be published on December 22, 2021.

December 8, 2021 the Board Leadership Society held a conference focusing on the new guide. The new version of the guide includes a number of new themed articles that focus, for example, on board responsibilities, cyber insurance, supplier security, logging and monitoring.

Jacob Herbst, CTO of Dubex, has been involved in the updated guide and was thus invited to give a talk at the conference. The talk was about the new theme of logging and monitoring.

Logging and monitoring are critical elements of any cyber strategy, as a business is blind without monitoring and thus unable to see what’s going on in its IT systems. These elements are also an important tool in the efficient management of cyber incidents.

In presenting the new theme of logging, Herbst looked at why the board has address the company’s logging policy to ensure effective cyber defence.

The updated guide is expected to be published on 22 December 2021, and can be downloaded from the Board Leadership Society’s website here (Opens new tab).
